Everything you need to know about setting up and running successful loyalty programs with Earnex.
Rewards
Your brand will have the complete flexibility in setting up the cashback and reward threshold. Earnex will work with you in coming up with the threshold and cashback amount so that the cashback amount is actually rewarding for the customer but not too expensive for the brand to give. We generally recommend setting up the reward threshold around 4-5x of your average selling price and the cashback amount between 10-20% of the threshold. Also once the threshold and reward have been set, you cannot change it without informing Earnex well in advance. For any customer whose reward points accumulation has started for your brand, you cannot change its threshold and cashback amount for that customer
No, the reward that you offer must be in the form of cashback only. You can always offer additional rewards like discount codes and free products.
You will need to deposit a certain amount upfront. Earnex will give out the cashback to customers when they reach the spending threshold for your brand from this amount. We will provide your brand with all the data you will need to verify if the cashback is being provided for genuine purchases only. When the amount deposited by your brand is about the get exhausted, we will ask you to deposit more funds with us, failing which your brand’s loyalty campaign will end on Earnex.
Setup
Setting up with Earnex is super-quick. Once a brand signs up with us, their loyalty programme will be live on our app in less than a week.
There is no integration required with your brand’s website or backend. Earnex will provide you with a dashboard that will show all your customer insights.
Currently this is not possible but we are working on developing ways in which Earnex can enhance your current marketing tools.
Earnex will handle most of the setup and your relationship manager will be available to guide you with any issues in the future.

Using all the data we collect from our users, we can help you segment your customers based on how frequently they bought your product, which channel they used to purchase most frequently, most loyal customer demographic etc
Yes, you will be able to view metrics like how many customers redeemed your vouchers, how many of your buyers turned into loyal customers etc. on your Earnex dashboard.
All the customer data that can be used to identify the customer will stay with Earnex. Earnex will only share aggregated non-identifiable data with the brands.
To prevent fraud and detect fake receipts, we use the following technology and logic. Firstly we use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) analysis to check for fields like store name, date and time of purchase, store address, GST number, list of items purchased, and total amount. If any of the data is missing (except GST number), or there is any data mismatch like the store name and address don’t match , the receipt gets flagged for manual review. Also each store has a unique receipt format, which includes logo placement, column structure, and barcode positioning. We check if the receipt uploaded matches the retailer’s usual format. Each receipt is also checked for duplication. So the same receipt being uploaded by the same user or by different users gets detected and flagged. We use location data also to cross-verify if the user was near the store at the time of purchase. Any receipt that is blurry, cropped, hand-written, or incomplete is rejected. Any unusual buying behaviour, such as a high value or high volume purchase, or frequent uploads by the same user, gets flagged for manual review. Lastly, we are incorporating tools and APIs into our app that can help detect things like image tampering, common characteristics of AI-generated images, and manipulated or synthesized images. Any user found violating any of these would be blacklisted from Earnex.
